Desktop tools for offline project sync, project lookups, screen capture,
and client markup links. Windows only.
Setting it up
- Unzip it somewhere permanent —
C:\Waystone is fine.
Don't run it from inside the zip, and don't put it in Downloads where it
might get cleared. Then run Waystone.exe.
- Open Settings (the gear at the bottom of the left rail) and find
Connections. Paste the Markup App key you were given — if you
weren't given one, ask whoever sent you this link — and check the drive letter
matches the one your project drive is mapped to.
- Press Check Connections. It tells you in one place whether
Waystone can reach everything it needs, rather than you finding out tool by tool.
That's everything. Waystone knows where its own updates live and installs them
itself, so this is the last time you need to come here.
Windows will probably warn you. Waystone isn't code-signed, so
SmartScreen shows “Windows protected your PC”. Click More info, then
Run anyway. That warning means the file is unrecognised, not that
anything is wrong with it.
